Information about the motif
Every year, the Wiesnwirte’s festival mug represents all the Oktoberfest’s innkeeper families.
At the Oktoberfest beer mug from the Wiesnwirte 2022 you can see a Wiesn waitress in a great mood, effortlessly carrying a whole bunch of mugs. Just as we know, love and admire.
Each mug represents a family of innkeepers, a Wiesn innkeeper. In addition to the names, the mugs always have something on them that is really typical for the respective festival tent.
So at the crossbow shooting tent you can of course see a crossbow with a target, at the Hofbräu festival tent you can see a king who is already looking forward to his beer (a crown has always adorned the HB logo). On the Löwenbräu mug you fi nd - what else - the famous lion, just as you can see it every year in an impressive size in front of the tent. And the Bräurosl mug shows the namesake Rosi Pschorr herself, daughter of the former brewery owner, performing one of her legendary yodeling routines.
In the case of the Fischer Vroni, the depiction of a fish was of course obvious, just as in the Ochsenbraterei the ox and in the Marstall the horse.
Added to this is the famous sheep, which raises its hooves on the Schottenhamel mug, the Paulaner monk, with bread and beer, and a shooting target, with a few hits , which represents the shooting festival tent.
The festival tent's traditional mug is decorated with a tuba, representing a good portion of brass music, Goaslschnoitzer and Schuhplattler. There is no mug, but there are pretty grapes at the Ku ffl ers wine tent, which will delight wine lovers.
Not to forget the Augustiner mug with the Augustiner logo and the Hacker festival tent mug with a picture that is supposed to literally illustrate the much-vaunted “Heaven of Bavaria” that is very present in the tent.
Last but not least, Käfers Wiesn-Schänke. Here, a ladybird walks across a star that is supposed to be reminiscent of the famous Walk of Fame in Hollywood - a bit of glamour is a must.
